If the USPS goes private who will maintain the Zip Code database and will they share its information for free?

Currently the Postal Service maintaines the zipcode database for USPS mail delivery. It seems everyone uses it for their own purpose from parcel delivery, UPS %26amp; FEDX, to insurance companies to set rates. What happens when the US Postal Service is privatized?|||The ZIP code will slowly be phased out.|||In a sense they already are privatized - they are 'for profit', no other 'government' agency is.
